NYC Finest batters Holy Cross, 78-62

Representing Lefrak City, NYC Finest, coached by Rob Diaz came out focused and put it on the players from Holy Cross HS (CHSAA) from start to finish. "We wanted to keep our extended press to get them out of their comfort zone. We also wanted to move the ball around as much as possible and get the best percentage shots, drives and scoring opportunities," said Diaz.

6'4" Ismail Abdullah, a rising senior from Beach Channel HS, and 6'1" rising junior Boubacar Diallo from Forest Hills HS would provide the lion's share of the offense early and by the end of third quarter, the Finest had amassed a 56-46 advantage.

NYC Finest continued to push the ball and capture transition points which further extended their lead. With Holy Cross down by 16 points as time ran out, it would ultimately end up being the close of fourth quarter that finally stopped NYC Finest from scoring.

High scorers for NYC Finest were Abdullah with 23 points followed by Diallo with 17 points. Holy Cross was paced by their only veteran player, 5'11" rising senior, Eddie Rosigno with 13 points.
