Hopefully all of you who are playing lacrosse, or other sports, are devoting 20 minutes a day to throwing whether your in a sport or not. You should also be setting aside time to catch (including ground balls), run and lift, preparing for a very big season of Oak Park Lacrosse. Camps during the Winter Break are highly recommended. Many of you are hopefully involved in the Starz program to keep you skill level and game strategy level up. Oak Park will begin it's 2009 season with a bang, No.1 ranked La Costa Canyon! OP will be playing 5 of the State's top 10 this season. Everyone needs to be on the same page. You have an opportunity to start off much stronger and prepared now that Coach Tarik is on board. Being in shape, in condition, and competently applying stick skills early, will give coach Tarik & White a chance set up strong defensive & offensive strategies weeks before you play. You are all very lucky to have such coaches as devoted as White, Tarik & Bjerkaas. Look for help from OPLAX alumni coming home in December. They're likely to be on the field too.
