Oak Park saw the future of it's Lacrosse High School team on Sunday. Hundreds came out to support and sign up for club lacrosse in Oak Park and the other teams in the Conejo Valley. Oak Park Boosters shared experiences with others at a fantastic booth filled with retail items, videos, and information about boys and girls youth lacrosse. Several 101 Starz games were center stage on Sunday showing off the growth of Conejo Valley lacrosse. Oak Park HS lacrosse members made up the majority of the Elite High School Division 101 Starz which also included players from OCHS, Chaminade, Westlake, Newbury Park, Calabassas, Thousand Oaks and Downey. 101 Starz coaches Tarik Ergin, Mario Waibel and Scott Rothstien lead their (Oak Park) team to win their first game 7-3 vs Oawaks' Hollywood Starz (Crespi), but lost the second game 4-6 vs. Jaffe's South Bay Starz (Palos Verdes). Team leaders Carpenter, Albers, Caspari, Marshall, Evans, and Connor Phillips all contributed to play on Sunday.
