MICHAEL BRUCE SETS 1,000 PTS MARK AT JOHN BOWNE HS
After ending with 24 pts vs Art & Design in the Newtown Classic at JHS 275, Michael Bruce did not only led the team in scoring and win over Art & Design, but he did also set a 1,000 mark during this game. He made history being the 1st player ever in John Bowne HS history to score 1,000 pts, and he is continuing to set marks as the season progresses. He is currently the PSAL Queens A East leading scorer with 25 ppg, after leading the PSAL Queens AII last year as well averaging 24 ppg. He continued his commanding strive with a 36 pts performance against Flushing HS during the 2nd Annual Queens Jam Christmas Classic, hosted at John Bowne HS on December 30th, 2006. He has developed a much all around game as he has added a strong drive and finish around the basket, as he already possess the best transition shooting in the PSAL A.
