SSSF is known for turning out some serious MMA beasts on the local and national MMA scene and this weekend will be no different when assistant SSSF kids class instructor and SSSF cardio kickboxing trainer, Erin "Fun Size" Cooney makes her amateur MMA debut on the New England Fights (NEF) card in Lewiston, Maine.

Being the first female to represent one of the most experienced fight teams around could be a daunting task for some but "Fun Size" has been paying her dues while tearing through her divisons on the local grappling circuit over the last year racking up numerous first place medals and championship belts. With a recent division-win (aka warm-up) at the North American Grappling Association's New England Championships last weekend, she is more than ready for the fight this Saturday night.

Head on over to "Fun Size's" Facebook event for more info on Erin's fight and what is sure to be a great night of fights all around.

Also fighting that night representing SSSF is Jesse Peterson. Jesse will be defending his title belt against tough Sytyodtong-trained striker, Greg Rebello. Jesse travels from Maine to SSSF a couple times a month, more leading up to a fight, to supplement his training with the tough SOB's at Central Maine BJJ. Jesse is a powerful veteran who's in the best shape of his life and eager to defend his title.

There is going to be a huge turnout of SSSF'ers making the trek to Maine to support Erin and Jesse, you guys are the best.See you at the fights!
