Eagles Finally Break Through with a Victory on the Road at Harvard-Westlake

Oak Park finally won a game on the road. After 5 straight road losses, the Eagles outplayed the Harvard-Westlake Wolverines in every aspect of the game to come away with an easier than expected 13-6 win. After being down early in the 2nd quarter 3-2, Oak Park scored 5 straight goals to pull away from the Wolverines and never looked back. Ryan Darling had a huge game with 2 goals and 5 assists and Tommy Evans scorched the Wolverines for 4 goals and an assist. Cody Skene added 3 goals and Grayson Phillips and Grant Consoletti each added 2 goals to complete the scoring. . This is the first time Oak Park has faced Harvard Westlake since Oak Park lost to them in a 1 point dramatic qualifier as a high school club team in the 2005 CIF Championship Tournament. This win puts OP at the .500 mark for the 1st time after an an 0-4 start to the season.
The Eagles (6-6) face another tough opponent in Chaminade (5-2) at the friendly confines of OPHS on Tuesday at 6:30. Chaminade has beaten Crespi twice and Culver City and their only losses have come against 3rd ranked Loyola twice.
