The Palmetto Havoc, a first year team, came into the eighth game of the season at 2-5 facing an opposing team who assumed they could just come in and roll over them with little effort. Regardless of the size of the players or parading a 60 man squad into the stadium in the end you can still only put 11 men on the field. Don't ever assume that just because a team's record is under 500 that it is an easy team to beat. The Havoc has never needed to cheat or deliver cheap shots to win ball games, despite the accusations of a so called "powerhouse" team. If you want to play the game of football you accept and understand the situations that come about and play the game win or lose. When you lose accept your lose with sportsman like conduct and a sense of fair play, as MEN. A true elite team WOULD NOT cry and scream protest about the lose like a child who doesn't get their way. We doubt that if the scores were reversed that any complaints would have been made, you would have taken the win without a second thought. For every game we've played and lost we understand that we beat ourselves. We don't blame the oppossing team or referees. If you get smacked in the mouth by a first year team, scoring 13-2 even after having two touchdowns called back and putting several of your players on thier back to the point where they wanted to believe that we had college athletes risking their 4 year scholarships to come out and play just to beat you. Our squad of 33 ball players, half of them being first year players, caused that much devestaion. What does that say about your program when you have to cry foul to win a game? Truth is you were out coached and out played. Or is it that you just looked better on Youtube when the video is edited to improve your presence in the field...THAT'S REAL TALK!!!
