Chiefs Win Middle School Championship

     West Lincoln MS Chiefs stole the lead late and defeated Kings Mountain MS 4-3 on Thursday.  The game was tied at two with West Lincoln MS Chiefs batting in the top of the fifth when Quinlyn Avery singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs and giving the Chiefs the lead and eventually the Conference Championship.

 

     Kings Mountain MS opened up scoring in the first inning, when Kayla M singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.  Kings Mountain MS racked up nine hits, Maddie HAvery CAnna W, all collected multiple hits for Kings Mountain MS; while, Abree Sutton led West Lincoln MS Chiefs with two hits in four at bats

 

     Milah Parrott started the game for West Lincoln MS ChiefsParrott went three innings, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out two and walking zero.  Bailey Lewis was credited with the victory for West Lincoln MS Chiefs.  The lefthander went four innings, allowing one run on five hits and striking out two.  Maddie H took the loss for Kings Mountain MS. H allowed five hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out nine and walking zero.
