Two West Lincoln Lady Rebels Varsity Pitchers Rally Together To Shutout Newton-Conover
West Lincoln Lady Rebels Varsity defeated Newton-Conover 16-0 on Wednesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Stacia Cowen struck out Julse Krause to finish off the game. Harlie Burton earned the victory on the rubber for West Lincoln Lady Rebels Varsity. The righthander surrendered zero runs on zero hits over two innings, striking out two and walking zero. Cowen threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Ashlynn Grant took the loss for Newton-Conover. The pitcher lasted one inning, allowing two hits and six runs while striking out one.
West Lincoln secured the victory thanks to 14 runs in the second inning. Addisyn Robinson, Farrah Richardson, Kayla Wehunt, Gracie Elmore, Carolina Robinson, and Etta Godfrey each had RBIs in the big inning. Cowen, Koragan Hullette, and Burton all had one hit to lead West Lincoln Lady Rebels Varsity. West Lincoln Lady Rebels Varsity didn't commit a single error in the field. Godfrey had four chances in the field, the most on the team.
