West Lincoln Lady Rebels Varsity Grabs Lead In Fifth Inning To Defeat West Caldwell

 

 

West Lincoln Lady Rebels Varsity took the lead late in the game in a 10-5 victory over West Caldwell on Thursday. West Lincoln got things started in the first inning. Norman doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.  The Lady Rebels were down 5-4 in the top of the fifth inning when Chole Norman singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.  West Lincoln had nine hits in the game. Farrah RichardsonEtta Godfrey, and Norman all collected multiple hits for West Lincoln Lady Rebels VarsityRichardson led West Lincoln Lady Rebels Varsity with three hits in six at bats.

 

Harlie Burton was the winning pitcher for West Lincoln Lady Rebels Varsity. The righty lasted four innings, allowing five hits and five runs while striking out three. Stacia Cowen threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Cowen recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for West Lincoln Lady Rebels Varsity.  Abbey Bowman took the loss for West Caldwell. The pitcher allowed nine hits and ten runs over seven innings, striking out six.

 

West Caldwell racked up six hits. Tori Davis and Lyndsey Brookeshire each collected multiple hits for West Caldwell.
