With Harlie On The Mound, West Lincoln Lady Rebels Varsity Shuts Out East Burke
Harlie Burton didn't allow a single run as West Lincoln Lady Rebels Varsity defeated East Burke 3-0 on Tuesday. Burton allowed just five hits. Burton got the win for the Lady Rebels as she surrendered zero runs on five hits over seven innings, striking out four and walking one. The pitching was strong on both sides. Burton struck out four, while Addy Fortenberry sat down four. Fortenberry took the loss for East Burke. The bulldog went six innings, allowing three runs on eight hits and striking out four.
West Lincoln Lady Rebels Varsity fired up the offense in the second inning, when Carolina Robinson singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Bailey Huss went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead West Lincoln Lady Rebels Varsity in hits. East Burke collected five hits on the day. Tallent and Reagan Carter all collected multiple hits for East Burke.
