Stacia Of West Lincoln Lady Rebels Varsity Shuts Out Newton-Conover
Stacia Cowen threw a gem on Monday for West Lincoln Lady Rebels Varsity, allowing zero runs and besting Newton-Conover by a score of 15-0. Cowen was credited with the victory for West Lincoln. The righthander lasted four innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out four and walking one.
West Lincoln Lady Rebels Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning, when Bailey Huss doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs. The Lady Rebels Varsity notched six runs in the second inning. West Lincoln offense in the inning was led by Gracie Elmore, Huss, Cowen, Addisyn Robinson, and Bayleigh McNeely, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. West Lincoln racked up eight hits in the game. Huss and Robinson all collected multiple hits for West Lincoln Lady Rebels Varsity. Robinson and Huss all had two hits to lead West Lincoln Lady Rebels Varsity. West Lincoln Lady Rebels Varsity didn't commit a single error in the field. Huss had three chances in the field, the most on the team.
One bright spot for Newton-Conover was a double by Sam Padgett in the fourth inning. Emma Smith took the loss for Newton-Conover. She lasted three innings, allowing seven hits and 14 runs. Padgett led Newton-Conover with one hit in two at bats.
