The Harrison Softball Program is proud to announce that Richard Dombrowsky has been named Head Coach for the upcoming 2024 season. Coach Dombrowsky has spent the last four years as an assistant softball and baseball coach at Hillgrove High School. During his time the softball program made a pair of trips to the State Tournament in Columbus and the baseball program posted back-to-back region championships in 2023 and 2024.
Coach Dombrowsky started his high school teaching and coaching career in at King's Ridge Christian School and coordinated the baseball program's middle school, JV and Varsity programs for three seasons.
Prior to his high school coaching career, Coach Dombrowsky served as the Associate Head Coach of the Piedmont University baseball program for 14 years as well as the school's Sports Information Director for nine years. During his time with the Lions the ball club posted three conference championships and a pair of NCAA postseason appearances, the school's first coming in 2008 and 2011. In both seasons the Lions finished in the Top-25 in the final national poll and reached as high as fifth during the regular season.
Coach Dombrowsky was also inducted into the Osbourn Park High School Hall of Fame in 2022. During his four-year high school career, the Manassas, VA native was the inaugural Pete Ellis Award Recipient as the first athlete to earn 12 Varsity Letters in Golf, Wrestling, and Baseball. He was a two-time regional qualifier in golf and posted a 127-26 career wrestling record that included three district titles, two regional championships, and four trips to the state tournament where he placed third his senior year.
