Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Stampede announced that forward Zeb Knutson has committed to play collegiate hockey at Minnesota State University, Mankato following his USHL career.Knutson is in his first season with the Stampede and has put up 14 points (9g, 5a) through 19 games. His nine goals are third most on the team. Eight of those tallies came during an eight-game stretch from November 2-23 in which he helped the Stampede earn a 6-2-0 record.
The 18-year-old was selected by his hometown Stampede in the third round of the 2012 USHL Entry Draft, becoming the first-ever Sioux Falls, South Dakota native to be drafted and skate for a USHL team. He has played some of his best hockey in front of his hometown fans as seven of his nine goals this season have been scored at the Sioux Falls Arena.
