BCC defeated by Guilford in Playoffs

Bolivia, NC - The BCC Lady Dolphins lost in the first round of the playoffs on Friday to #2 seed Guilford Tech 66-46.  The Dolphins, who were seeded #7 finished their season 11-17 overall and 5-11 in conference play.   Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, was the venue for this year's NJCAA Region 10 Division II Women's Tournament.  Guilford Tech went on to beat Catawba Valley Community College on Saturday 69-47, but then was defeated in the Championship game on Sunday against Louisburg 77-67.

Crystal Hicks, a 5'11" sophomore forward from Carthage, NC, finished the season averaging over 10 points per game and 8.4 rebounds per game and had a total 160 rebounds for the season.  Kima Sidberry, a 5'4" sophomore point guard from Raleigh, averaged over 11 points per game, and had a season total of 52 assists and 32 steals.  Both Hicks and Sidberry are receiving offers to play at the next level.
