Recently, Kevin McLellan president of the Tyler McLellan Foundation presented Bob Brudzinski with a check for $1025.00 for his charity Bru’s Buddies Community Legacy Program. The foundation raised the funds from their annual charity poker tournament, the 5th Annual “Tyler’s Team” Charity Poker Classic. McLellan says, they raised the funds from the sale of ticket entries for their poker event.
"Every year we select a charity to donate a portion of the proceeds to and this year we selected Bru’s Buddies as our charity, since 2010 Bob Brudzinski and Bru’s Room have supported our foundation in everything we have done and we wanted to show our appreciation for his loyalty to our foundation, it was with great pleasure and honor that we were able to donate a portion of the proceeds to them, said Kevin McLellan, president of TMF.
The Bru’s Buddies program was designed to help organizations that exhibit good sportsmanship, academic excellence, community spirit, or simply touch their hearts. Having played for and been inspired by Woody Hayes, Bob knows what it means to give back to the community.
For over two decades, Bru’s Room has helped many local charities from the proceeds of their annual golf tournament, in-restaurant fundraising nights, promotional merchandise sales, the famous Firefighter Takeovers, and other fundraising efforts, Bru’s Room has donated over a quarter of a million dollars since 1989.
