Gitlers Gorillas to begin the 2013-14 Fall Season @ Icehouse on October 8 @ 10:45 PM vs Muller Hoboken Rockets.

Here's a brief update on Div5 and the schedule

  • There are 14 teams in Div5, ugh. (I was originally told 10 but can I help it if everyone wants to play us???)
  • As usual there are some one-week breaks over the first 2 months of the season due to rink availability
  • The GOOD NEWS is for the first time in a while there will be an equal number of EARLY games (9:20 PM or earlier) to LATE games (10:30 or 10:45 PM). I hope this gets Shendell off my back for a while.
  • There is a 2 week Holiday break - no games 12/24 and 12/31
  • Playoffs start Wednesday, 3/5/14 for teams finishing 11 thru 14 and continue the following 2 weeks with games on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 2nd round byes for teams finishing 1 thru 4

Season payment options:

Icehouse has raised the team's registration costs slightly. We are going to essentially keep the same payment policy as last year:
FULL PAYMENT - Pay $450 up front and you are guaranteed a spot every week and for the playoffs. If you are full payment, please bring your payment  (check?, cash?) to the first game
PAY BY GAME - Pay $32 per game (up from $30) but dressing through playoffs is based on availability

USHA Registration:
This is required by Icehouse. The team must have all players registered before the end of October. Please register with USHA (https://www.usahockeyregistration.com/login_input.action) and either send me a copy via email OR bring to the game a printed copy of the completed registration form. You don't need it for the first game but I will eventually not let you sleep until this is complete. Don't make me do it !!!!!
