In the past, All-Division selections recognized players from the entire league as First, Second, or Third Team members. In a change this year each sub-division within Division-II has designated players as either First or Second team honorees. Players are chosen by a consensus of the team coaches within the sub-division. Three Patriots hockey players were announced today as All Division-II South players.
Honored by selection to the First Team was Senior Forward, and Team Captain, Matt Abraham. Abraham completed the regular season as the Patriots’ leading point scorer, and was second in total points in D-II South. Second Team accolades went to Senior Forward, Aaron Towers, and Junior Goalie Matt Maggiacomo. Towers, who finished the season as Portsmouth’s leading goal scorer, was second in goals scored and third in total points in D-II South. Maggiacomo posted the best Goals Against Average and Save Percentage of all D-II South goal tenders this season.
