Jenkins became the third Hofstra player to earn CAA Rookie of the Year honors in the Pride's seven years in the league. He averaged 15.1 points this season, while scoring in double figures in 26 of the 28 games he played in, including a current streak of 14 in a row. He was held to five points in his college debut at Holy Cross on Nov. 10, but scored in double figures in every other game except a Jan. 12 game at VCU, when he fouled out with nine points. He was the leading freshman scorer in the CAA, and ranked 10th among all players regardless of class.
