Seven Baltimore girls were among more than 400 players named as initial nominees for the 2016 McDonald's All-American Game.
Poly's Khepera Stokes was one of seven area girls to be nominated.
Thirty girls from Maryland were named to the list, which will be whittled to 24 All-Americans for the March 30 game at the United Center in Chicago.
Only two girls from the Baltimore area have ever been selected as McDonald's All-Americans in the 14-year history of the girls game. Last season, Annapolis Area Christian School's Taylor Murray, now at Kentucky, played in the game. In 2007, Towson Catholic's Marah Strickland made it.
