Cynthia Johnson Earns Preseason Honors

Charlotte, NC - The Lincoln University women's basketball team is predicted to finish fifth overall in the 2013-14 CIAA Northern Division, announced Thursday as part of the CIAA's basketball media day. Senior guard Cynthia Johnson (Randallstown, Md./Baltimore Polytechnic Institute) was recognized as well, chosen to a 12-member Preseason All-CIAA Team.

Senior guard Cynthia Johnson (Randallstown, Md./Baltimore Polytechnic Institute) ranked fifth in the CIAA last season in minutes played with 855 totaled and seventh in steals finishing with 63. She averaged 11.6 points per game last season, with 2.9 assists, and 2.4 steals. Johnson netted 20+ points three times last season. She posted a season-best 25 points against Kutztown, 22 points versus Johnson C. Smith, and scored 20 points against Livingstone. She grabbed a career-best 12 rebounds against Concordia and had four games where she dished out six assists.
