 Executive Message

 Executive Membership

• New Position on executive: Suspension –Co-ordinator – Filled by Chad Feener. Tabled by Ken Ball 2^nd by Donny Sinyard of the Assassins.  This role will help to administer and monitor suspension for the MGHL members. 

 Sponsors – League and Team

 Teams - Fees (Insurance, Refs, Ice Time), Minimum age, Rosters

-          Only registered players are allowed to Play, minimum age is 18

-          Players can only play for the team they are registers to. 

-          If it is agreed upon prior to the game to avoid a forfeit teams can field the game with player registered in the league.  By no means does this mean a player can hop from one team to another.  This will be monitored.  Any abuse of this occurring it must be reported to the refs prior to the game starting or/and to and to an executive member 

  Scheduling  

-          The web is the schedule that we will follow as it will be the most current through the year.

-          For game out of town (Fort McKay and Anzac) is you can not field a team there must be notification to the league scheduler or  representative 72Hours prior to the game.  Fines will be levied for failure to notify.  72hours give the league time to reschedule games and notify team and official.  Be considerate your team is not the only one effected. 

 Referees – Clinics, Shortages, Abuse, Contacts

-          Issued the last standards of play and discussed changes.  An update with changes will be posted on the website

-          Refs will be holding a mini clinic for all officials and a it was requested by the referee rep that each team try to have a representative.

-          Time Keepers – Ask how teams get paid for having time keepers when they keep time and a scheduled time keeper is not at the rink.  Whichever team they are representing they must put it on the game sheet.  If there person does not have and established Arbitor account the refs cannot bill  for the game.  The team rep has an account and they will be paid.

 Playing Rules, Game Defaults, Suspensions, Fines –

-          Discussion of the major and automatic 5 games. –

-          Accidental high stick with blood.  – Change to that game

-          Define Degree of violence

-          Major Penalty Suspensions- A change as follows:  Staggered  Major 2 games 1^st offence, 5 games for second offence, third offence player’s status in the league under review by executive
