The WCHL requires teams to complete two roster forms. The first is the Preliminary Roster/Team Sign Up Form and the second is the official USA Hockey Roster Form.
The Preliminary Roster Form/Team Sign-Up form is due a few weeks before the scheduling meeting. The form includes a check box for double rostered players and a player ranking system. The league reviews the information provided to help place teams in the appropriate divisions. Once your season begins, this form is no longer valid.
The official USA Hockey Roster form is generated from your state affiliate's computer program (for example Cybersport) by entering each player's USA Hockey number. Once all of your players are listed, the USA Hockey roster should be sent to your state affiliate Registrar. The Registrar will approve or certify it and return it to you. The certified version is due to the WCHL by December 31. However, a copy of the USAH roster (certified or not) is required to be submitted to your Conference Rep BEFORE your team plays it's first league game. This proves to us that all of your players are registered with USA Hockey and covered for liability and insurance. Failure to submit this roster may result in forfeited games.
