Casey’s Bail Co. (3-2) put together their second high-70’s game in as many weeks with a one-sided 78-to-37 win over Sound Life Church (1-4) Thursday (Nov. 8) night in open game at the Bremerton Brick Place. The performance shows that Casey’s is ready for post-season play. But their 62-to-55 loss to All-State (3-2) two weeks ago (Nov. 25) will keep them out of the Div. II championship game this coming Thursday (Nov. 15).
The majority of Casey’s Bail Co.’s firepower came from shooting guard Maurice Modestin, who dropped a league-high 37 points, his second 30+ game of the season. But the team also had three other double-digit scorers. Jensen Bumanglag recorded 12, followed by Antrel Madison and Justin Wells with 10 each.
Cyrus Campbell proved to be Sound Life Church’s only 10+ scorer, with 13 points. Team leader Danny Broussard was absent for the second time this season and his 15.7 points per game were sorely missed.
At halftime Sound Life trailed 24-to-45. What they didn’t know was that the first half would be their most productive. Over the course of the second twenty minutes they managed to string together just 13 points, led by Campbell and Justin Krauats with 4 apiece.

II standings top spot and secured them a place in this coming Thursday’s championship game. McClouds fell to fourth.
As anticipated, Atyus Smith led Boat Shed in scoring, with 23 points, his third twenty-pointer of the Fall season. High school teammate Teni Vaoifi also flirted with a twenty-point game but fell a tad short with 19. In all, it was strong performances by five of Boat Shed’s eight players that earned them their fourth win of the season.
McClouds (2-3) made a strong attempt at knocking off Boat Shed (4-1) with a 21-point performance from Drew Vettleson and 16 from Tyler Baumgartner. Old-man Jerry Vettleson added an additional 11 points to the tally, seven in the first half, to keep McClouds close to Boat Shed, 33-to-30, at the intermission. But In the second half McClouds got outscored 38-to-31 to drop their third game of the season.

Championship seeding was the prize for the players of O.R.N. (4-0) and Admirals Rec (3-1) in the third and final game Thursday evening. A win would give Admirals Rec the #1 seed and relegate O.R.N. to the #2 spot in League Championship game this coming Wednesday (Nov. 14) at 7:05 p.m. On the other hand, a win by O.R.N. would keep their record unblemished and let them play as the championship game’s top contender and relegate Admirals Rec to a three-way tie for second, with Unguardable (3-2) and Heavy Hitters (3-2). From there, the championship second spot would be filled based upon game score differential between the three teams.
At the mid-game break, Admirals Rec Luke Henne and Lance Darder were on their game, scoring 15 and 14 points respectively, and had their team ahead 45-to-44.
In the second period, Henne would add an additional 17 points to his first half total for a game-high 32 points and Darder would end the contest with 22 but it was not be enough to defeat O.R.N.
Working as a tandem, O.R.N. Tyron Smith scored 12 of his team-high 25 points in the paint and an additional seven at the free throw line, while teammate Duke Hamiel dropped a game-high six three pointers for his 24-point total. In the end, O.R.N’s 87-to-81 victory was simply a matter of a stronger supporting case, as O.R.N.’s other six helped the team outscore Admirals Rec 43-to-36 in the second half.
