On Saturday, April 13th, two power houses of the WECBL collided in a battle that came down to the final seconds of the game. The Atlanta Angels hosted the Carolina Lady Crusaders of Columbia, SC. Both have previously competed in league games, both finishing with comfortable double digit leads. However, that would not be the environment of this game as the 2, equipped with height, speed and size, battled possession by possession on the court. At one point, the Angels led the turnover riddled Crusaders by 19, yet the Crusaders recomposed at half-time and fought back to a single-digit deficit and finally an opportunity to retake the game. In the end, the Angels bested the match. Although the Lady Crusaders and Angels will not meet again during the regular season, there is no doubt that soon enough they will be rematched again in the post-season.
