Oregon Ducks Hockey Recruiting letter
12/11/2007

Dear Coach Ashley,

Hello again from Oregon Ducks Hockey. We hope that your season is going well. The Ducks have just finished the first half of the season with a 12-3-1 record and currently lead the PAC-8 Hockey Conference.

We would again appreciate your assistance in identifying players that you would recommend that we contact with more information about Ducks hockey. The current roster includes players with experience in junior hockey, along with high school, Tier I and Tier II midget players from Oregon, Washington, California, Wyoming, Colorado, Montana and Alaska. We currently have 4 Alaska players on the roster including South Anchorage's  Sam Cehula. Several key players will graduate next spring so there are opportunities to contribute right away.

Skilled hockey players who are looking to pursue a quality education fit the profile of athletes that we would like to contact. Eugene is a great college town and we can offer the chance to continue playing competitive hockey while attending an excellent public university. Pac-8 hockey schools include Washington State, Washington, California, UCLA, Stanford, Southern California,  Arizona State and Oregon and non-conference games are scheduled with western collegiate teams located in Utah, Colorado and California.

If you coach or know of players who would be a good match with the Ducks hockey program, please pass on their contact information (mailing and/or e-mail address) so that we can follow-up as soon as possible. The deadline for freshmen to apply for admission for next school year is January 15, 2008. We are particularly interested in players who would attend the University of Oregon next fall but would also like to contact prospects for the 2009-10 school year.

Thanks very much for your time and attention . Please contact me via e-mail (recruting@oregonduckshockey.com) or phone (541-231-1216) or Head Coach Scott McCallum at coach@oregonduckshockey.com  or 541-844-8890 with player recommendations and any questions that you might have about the Oregon Ducks hockey program. You can also visit www.oregonduckshockey.com for additional information. The recruiting section of the website ( http://www.oregonduckshockey.com/article.asp?id=5667) provides additional information for prospective student athletes.
