A SPECIAL THANK YOU
3/25/2016

The Patriots offer their sincere appreciation to Owen Moy and Aquidneck Productions for live streaming not only the team’s three semi-final series games with RMR, but also their Game 1 of the final series at the Meehan Auditorium at Brown University in Providence.

Owen is a student at Middletown High School.  Given his school’s affiliation with the RMR Co-op hockey team, it was perhaps not surprising that he worked to stream the semi-final games from the Abbey last week.  He had, in fact, previously streamed other RMR games before the team met Portsmouth in the playoffs.  His work not only made the games available to fans of Patriots hockey, and notably, to relatives of the players outside the local area, it also introduced the capability to Portsmouth’s coaches, team, and parents.  It was an excellent demonstration of what is possible for future Patriots’ games in upcoming seasons.

Beyond his work on the semi-finals, Owen offered to cover the Patriots first game of the Division II finals with North Smithfield yesterday evening.  While RIIL is live streaming a number of the playoff finals through a subscription based company, Portsmouth’s first game was not one that was scheduled to be shown.  Owen volunteered to stream that game for the team, and like the others he coordinated during the semi-finals, it was made available to Patriots fans free of charge.

A big thank you goes out to Owen for all of his work streaming the team’s last four games, and especially for his efforts to cover the first game of the team’s final series.
