Mission Vista girls wrestling started their run to state. These past weekend they had their first qualifer tournament. Div 3  Girls was held at Ramona High School. Three Timberwolves went out there to compete and try to  be top three in their weight so they can move to the second qualifer for State. Luciana Boring wrestling at 102lbs was in the consolation side and needed to win her consolation semifinal match and she would of qualified to move to the next qualifer. She had her opponnent down and she let go thinking the referree had hit the mat and she got her pin. She was wrong the girl got up put her on her back and giving the young ladie her loss and stopping her to move on and ending her season. Out 105lb Billie Readinger had a great tournament knocking out the third seed, second seed to move into the finals. In the Finals Billie did quick work on her opponnent that was the first seed.  Billie made history by becoming the first CIF Champion for Mission Vista Wrestling . Right behind her was Thyme Stavis she lost to the number one seed and Thyme bounce back by pinning her opponents and making it to the third and fourth place match this was also another history for Mission Vista where they have two Masters qualifer.  Thyme ended up taking fourth place and also her first Medal in her wrestling career.
