Mission Vista wrestlers head out to CIF at Lincon High School.  The following wrestlers competed on their first State qualifier

106 lbs Vinny Johnson, couldn't make the weight at 106 so he had to bump up to 120lbs where there was a opening, Vinny went out there did his best but came out short and he left the tournament 0-2

 

113lbs: Tyson Kelly, Tyson started his firs CIF with a fall, the second round he fell short and lost  dropping him into the consolation side of the bracket.  On the side of the consolation Tyson was able to get a win and then suffering a loss that drop him to wrestle for the alternate spot for Masters. Tyson wins that the 7th place and becomes alternate for Masters.his record at the tournament was 3-2  

 

120lbs: Vinny Johnson, Vinny had to bump up to this weight class after missing weight at 106lbs. Vinny goes 0-2 

 

126lbs: No participant

 

132lbs: Dominique Moore, Dominique started his CIF with a win, then after that Dominique couldn't get his momentum and had two losses knocking him  out of the tournament. Tournament record 1-2, 

138lbs: CJ Ripa, Cj went on a rampage winning two matches to get into the finals. In the finals CJ fell short lossing to his nemessis from La Costa Canyon. Tournament record 2-1

 

144lbs: Aron Billups, Aron showed up to wrestle but his inexperience showed and he went 0-2 . 

 

152lbs: No Participant

 

157lbs Jael Prieto,  Jael Lost his first match of the tournament, he made a run winning Five matches to take third place. His tournament record was 5-1

 

165lbs: Aidan Ketcham, Aidan won his first match in the last second. The next round he wasn't that lucky and he lost a close match, then in the consolation side he lost his second match knocking him out of the tournament. His tournament record was 1-2

 

175lbs: Marlin Hoffman started his path in the CIF tournament with a dominate win, Second match he lost a close one, he put a run on the backside by winning two matches and then losing in the consolation semifinals. He finished the tournament with a win to end up taking fifth place. His tournament record was 4-2

 

190lbs: Mark Robolloso started his tournament with a dominant win, He couldn't put it together in the second round and he took a loss.  in the consolation side he won his match moving him to the consolations qtrs where he lost, His last match was a match to win if he wanted to be an alternate at Masters.  Mark took control of the match and never look behind winning it in a dominant way. 

 

215lbs: Olu Gbadebo he went into the tournament weighing light and was not able to wrestle. 

 

285Lbs: No participants.
