Mission Vista first state Qualifer goes to the boys Cristian Ripa at 138 lbs. Cj Ripa had a good post season tournament punching his ticket to the big show for the state of California.  Thursday morning Cj made weight and started his first match wrestling Trabusco Hills from the Southern Section. Cj and his opponnent where in the tie match 5-5 going to the second period. During the second period there where some exchanges nobody scored. Until the last 30 seconds of the match where Trabusco tried to do a lat drop and was counter by CJ. Trabusco recuperated fast and got Cj still in transition from the counter and he put him straight to his back and got the pin.  Second Match was Friday morning. Cj had his nemessis from La Costa Canyon first period was a great period we where attacking him and we got in  finishing the period 3-0. Start of the second period La Costa Canyon chose top and Cj was defending good but just fell short and he was able to put him on his back to get the  win. That stop the run for CJ and ended his state hopes of earning his medal. Cj learned a lot and he is ready to start his off season journey so he can come back and win that state tittle.
