THREE PLAYERS EARN ALL-DIVISION RECOGNITION
3/1/2017

Forward Kyle McGowan, defenseman Noah McHugh, and goalie Matt Nordhill were selected as members of the All-Division II South Team.  McGowan earned Third Team honors, while McHugh and Nordhill each were awarded Second Team recognition.  This is the second time McHugh has received All-Division honors.  He was selected as a member of the third team last season.  The three players were each tops on their team at their positions, and rated among the best in the league.

The All-Division honors are similar to the players being recognized as one of the league’s all-stars.  Three “teams” were chosen for each sub-division, D-II North and D-II South.  Each one consisted of three forwards, two defensemen, and one goalie.  The players were selected by the head coaches of all the teams in the league at a meeting immediately after the end of the regular season last Sunday.

There are many talented players in the league and so competition for selection was close.  It is a tribute to the consistently high level of performance that these three players turned in during games this season, that they were chosen for this honor.  Congratulations to each of them for being designated as members of the All-Division II Team.
