Majors Take Second Exhibition Game from Rice with Shutout Victory

The Majors played a solid if not gritty game taking care of all of the little things that bring about victory in a 5-0 win over Rice Academy.  This comes on the heels of a 5-2 loss to the Rice squad a day earlier.

Mark Morrison was awesome between the pipes and recorded the shutout turning aside 24 shots in the contest.  He settled in after period one and had great net coverage throughout the game.  The Majors directed37 shots at the Rice cage.

Unclear game sheet results show Riley Van der Kooy with two goals and Luke Fitzgerald with one.  The other two goals were scored by Justin Romeo and Joe Gagne. Assists went to Channey Kim with two, and singles to Thomas Finn, Thomas Byrne, Luke Fitzgerald, Christian Melatti, Cameron Dempsey, Patrick Yau, and Brendan Byrne.
