Griswold Wolverines Admitted to Connecticut Basketball

They were once one of the most storied franchises in the history of Connecticut Basketball, dominating the “Junior ECC” throughout the teens.  Beset by dwingling registrations the past several years, the Jr. Wolverines program has emerged from the Dark Ages and are back in full force for the 2024-25 campaign.

“We’re just happy to be back,” Club Director Ryan Aubin, told Connecticut Basketball this summer.  “Our role as a feeder program to high school athletics is to build future Wolverines--and the best competitive environment we could train to accomplish this objective is with Connecticut Basketball.  We’re grateful to be part of it.”

Griswold will play the balance of their 2024-25 schedule versus Junior ECC foes, Killingly, Colchester, Columbia, Groton, East Lyme, Ledyard, Stonington, Montville, Marlborough, Montville and Windham—with the typical matchups versus the greater Connecticut Basketball family.  The Jr. Wolverines will play their home dates at the historic Griswold Middle School on Sunday mornings.  

Connecticut Basketball’s 18th season tips off December 6, 2024.  Registration for new teams seeking admission closes October 10, 2024.  (As we do not accept all Clubs that apply, early registration is encouraged.) Registration for returning teams closes October 21, 2024.
