Registration is Open for the 18th Connecticut Basketball Season!

The Connecticut Basketball Conference will tip-off its 18th season in December 2024 making it one of the oldest (and largest) travel and high school basketball leagues in New England.  

 

The 2024-25 campaign will see a return of our Annual All Star Classic (President's Day Weekend) and the addition of our first annual New Year's Day, "Hangover-the-Rim" one day tourney.  Key dates and events as follows:

  1. Regular Season.  Regular Season play begins the first week of December and runs until the third week of February.   
  2. Post-Season   Our post-season--"Conference Tournament"--begins the final week of February (opening round games) and runs for two weekends, ending in the first weekend of March (Final Four & Championship Games).  All teams qualify for this single-elimination tournament.  Teams that finish the regular season with a winning record are placed in an "NCAA Bracket" with all the other teams that finish above .500.  Teams that finish below .500 are placed in an "NIT Bracket" and battle for the NIT crown.
  3. Tournament Play.  We will sponsor the following pre-season and in-season tournaments--all of which are New England Championship Tournament qualifiers: (i) Pre-Season Turkey Shoot (Thanksgiving Tournament); (ii) New Years Day Hangover-The-Rim Classic and (iii)  MLK Day  Memorial.
  4. Special Events/Annual All-Star Game.  Our annual All-Star Classic for all grade levels is played on President's Day in Berlin, CT.
  5. Community Service Events.  Our 2024-25 community service events will be: (i) Annual Food Drive (December); (ii) Coaches Versus Cancer Pink-Out (February); (iii) Shoot for a Better Future Scholarships (March).

Returning Teams

The deadline for returning Club Presidents to confirm their participation in 2024-25 is October 18, 2024.  All you need do is visit our website (www.ctbball.org)--click on "Registrations" and selct "Returning Teams."  (Note: We are generating schedules for all 2023-24 teams but your Club President must nevertheless confirm your participation by the due date.)

 

New Clubs and Teams

To apply for admission, please complete our on-line application at www.ctbball.org by clicking on "Registrations" and selct "Returning Teams."  (Note: We are generating schedules for all 2023-24 teams but your Club President must nevertheless confirm your participation by the due date.)click on registrations and select "Team Application" by October 11, 2024. (Note: We unfortunately do not accept all teams that apply to Connecticut Basketball and you are therefore encouraged to apply early as we have limits as to how many new Clubs/Teams we will accept).
