Park City DREAMERS to Host Anti-Bullying Awareness Night on Saturday, March 14
Organization connects youth mentorship, anti-bullying efforts, and community engagement in the fight against violence

Dumfries, VA — March 14, 2026 — The Park City DREAMERS professional basketball organization will host Anti-Bullying Awareness Night at their home game this Saturday, March 14, as part of a continued commitment to using sports as a platform to strengthen community connections, promote positive youth development, and address the root causes of violence affecting young people.

In light of the recent tragedy impacting the Dumfries community, the DREAMERS organization will also hold a brief pre-game moment of silence to honor the life of Louis Anthony Boone and to stand in solidarity with families, students, educators, and community members affected by youth violence.

The evening will serve as more than just a basketball game — it will be a call to action.

"As an organization, we believe anti-bullying work is violence prevention work," said Jeremy Coleman, Owner and CEO of the Park City DREAMERS. "When we address bullying, isolation, and the lack of belonging among our youth, we are also addressing some of the underlying factors that can lead to destructive decisions. Our responsibility as community leaders is to create environments where young people feel seen, supported, and guided toward purpose."

The DREAMERS organization emphasizes that preventing violence requires proactive engagement, mentorship, and structured opportunities that help young people channel their energy into positive outlets. Through its basketball programs, leadership initiatives, and community partnerships, the organization actively works to combat the dangerous effects of idleness, disconnection, and lack of direction that can sometimes contribute to poor decision-making among youth.

Saturday’s event will highlight the importance of:Creating safe environments for youth

  • Promoting respect and accountability

  • Encouraging positive peer culture

  • Providing structured activities that reduce idle time

  • Strengthening mentorship and leadership opportunities

"Idle time without guidance can become a dangerous space for young people," Coleman added. "Sports, mentorship, and leadership development give youth structure, purpose, and community. That is how we begin changing outcomes."

The DREAMERS are also reaffirming their commitment to partnering with schools, nonprofits, parents, and civic leaders throughout Prince William County to continue building programs that support youth development both on and off the court.

Fans attending Saturday’s game can expect a meaningful pre-game recognition, community messaging throughout the event, and an atmosphere focused on unity and positive impact.
