April 12th Petersburg VA - The Petersburg Cavaliers continued their dominant run through the ECBL season on Sunday, rolling to a convincing 133–93 victory over the Carolina Chosen Lions at Richard Bland College. With the win, the Cavaliers remain unbeaten, improving to 7-0, while the Chosen Lions fall behind after a tough outing. From the opening tip, Petersburg controlled the pace and tempo, jumping out to a 37–24 first quarter lead and never looking back. Their offensive rhythm carried into the second quarter, where they extended the lead to 67–46 at halftime. A strong third quarter (28 points) effectively put the game out of reach before closing it out with another 38-point effort in the fourth. The Cavaliers were firing on all cylinders offensively, shooting an impressive 58.5% from the field and moving the ball efficiently with 36 team assists. Leading the charge was Elijah Moore, who poured in 36 points, showcasing his scoring ability from all three levels. He had plenty of support across a balanced attack. Keshuan Morgan added 24 points on highly efficient shooting, while Jordan Crump chipped in 22 points. Inside, Tavon Mealy Sr. dominated the glass with 17 rebounds to go along with his scoring effort, helping Petersburg control the boards with a 64–42 rebounding advantage.
For Carolina Chosen Lions, Montrell Williams led the way with 25 points, while Matthew McIntyre contributed 20 points. Despite their efforts, the Lions struggled offensively as a team, shooting just 33.0% from the field, which made it difficult to keep pace with the Cavaliers’ high-powered offense.
Petersburg’s depth, efficiency, and relentless scoring once again proved too much for their opponent, as they continue to establish themselves as one of the top teams in the league. At 7-0, the Cavaliers remain undefeated and firmly in control, showing no signs of slowing down.
