Hamden Hall is excited to share the hiring of Tim Belcher as our new ice hockey coach. Tim comes to Hamden Hall from Notre Dame High School where he amassed a 58-36-5 record, winning 12 or more games in four of his five seasons.
During that same time period, Notre Dame reached the semi-finals of the Division I state tournament twice and made five consecutive SCC Division I finals appearances - including scoring the win in 2015. Additionally, Tim coached seven first-team All State hockey players over that five-year span.
Prior to Notre Dame, Tim coached at Lyman Hall High School for nearly two decades.
Tim is a former collegiate athlete, having played baseball at Quinnipiac University, and also played professionally in several leagues including with the Waterbury Spirit. In high school, Tim was the captain of the 1993 state champion hockey team at Notre Dame.
Professionally, Tim is in the Admissions Office at Southern Connecticut State University.
The Hamden Hall Hockey Association and the entire Hamden Hall community welcomes coach Belcher and looks forward to a new era of Hamden Hall Ice Hockey.
