ALLAN THOMAS SIGNS WITH SOUTH PLAINS COLLEGE,TX

Allan Thomas, 6'3" guard for Thomas Edison H.S in Queens has really improved his game, both on the court and off the court.
Thomas improved his shooting and also improved academically to the point where he was able to 5 days ago commit to South Plains College in Texas. South Plains is a JUCO college but has facilities and academics that surpass some D-1 programs according to his AAU coach Roberto Diaz.
South Plains chose Thomas due to his shooting ability, which ironically was one of his focus areas of improvement. "Thomas' strengths are that he is smooth to the basket and a good finisher, "says Coach Diaz. "Thomas struggled academically but his willingness to change has given him this well deserved opportunity."
With Edison Thomas led his team to a class A championship and then to the playoffs in Class AA. According to Diaz, Thomas is a very athletic player who has a great work ethic. "He's the who wants to take the last shot. And quite frankly, he's the guy I would want to take that shot."
