A Drew Safronuk hat trick and assist powered the Northern Hawks in a 9-1 romp over the Thunder Bay Bandits Saturday night. It was the fourth win in four starts for the Northern Hawks, all against the Bandits.
The Hawks' line of Ben Erwin (two goals, assist), Stephen Tocheri (two goals, three assists) and Alex Erwin (goal,three assists) were dominant, racking up 12 points on the night. Matt DiFranco added a marker on the powerplay. Goaltender Jakob Anton won his third game of the young season making 25 saves.
