CATCHING UP
2/6/2021

There has been too much to do in a short period of time to in this hockey season that started too late and will be ending too early.  Just as the team’s normal pre-season practice period was drastically reduced, so too was the time to accomplish all the behind the scenes preparations that go into analyses of the games and the upkeep of this web site - in particular, the news reporting on the games and other events.  That should be corrected now.

So, off we go.  The Patriots are one week, and two games into their regular season.  There are two weeks, and six games remaining before the abbreviated playoff season begins (more on that in another article).  Three of those games have already been scheduled, and three have yet to be finalized.  Those details will be covered as they occur.

Although several teams are regularly practicing at the Abbey hockey rink, the school has not yet approved any teams, including their own, to play games there.  There is hope that will soon change, but until it does the Patriots are holding their home games at the Levy Community Ice Center in Burrillville.  It is a good facility, and a limited number of fans are allowed to attend the games.  For those not in attendance, the Patriots have arranged to live-stream all of their home games on YouTube.

The next two weeks will be action packed for the team.  Come to the games if you can, of watch on-line.  And of course keep up with all the latest news and information right here on the team’s web site.

Stay healthy and see you at the rink… maybe!
