With the LJHL 2021-22 regular season just a week away the leagues' four-member teams are scrambling to build their respective rosters. The Nipigon Elks may just be a bit ahead of their competition.
"We started recruitment early in the summer and are expecting our returning players to provide leadership and that extra bit of intensity needed at season start," said Head Coach and General Manager, Malcolm Sutherland. "I continue to be impressed with them and also with our new players. Parker Ball for example - our drafted goaltender has looked really good and our other new players will surprise many."
The Elks home opener is October 1 in Nipigon against the Thunder Bay Northern Hawks.
