Nipigon Elks (1-1-0) Head Coach Malcolm Sutherland announced today the addition of Ethan Paquette in a trade with the Thunder Bay Bandits. A former Volunteer Pool Bearcats 18U AA player, Paquette played last fall during the brief LJHL regular season.

Sutherland also welcomed back veteran forward Vinni Speziale who last played in 2019-20 when he posted 17 goals and 37 points in 25 games.

"We continue to focus on improvement and growth in this early part of our season," said Sutherland. "These two signings are vital to our team success."

Blueliner Gavin Bezeau returns to the lineup after a preseason injury had delayed his debut.
