PATRIOTS TOP CHIEFTAINS
12/12/2022

Shane Temple had two goals and two assists to lead all scorers as the Patriots defeated the Ponaganset Chieftains 5-3 Sunday afternoon at the Abbey.  It was the first home game of the 2022-23 campaign.  Contributing to the winning effort, Steve Madden and Hayden Krzych each had a goal and an assist, and team captain Aidan Toner had a goal.  Joey Levreault picked up three assists, James LeBreux earned two, and Andrew Alvanas was credited with one.  Steve Dutra, in goal for Portsmouth, made 22 saves to notch his second win of the season.

The Patriots are in action again next Sunday, December 18, at 2:00 pm at the Abbey, when they will face off with the South Kingstown Rebels.  This will be the first meeting between the two teams in nearly three years.  In the past games between the Patriots and Rebels were always competitive and exciting.  This will be your last chance to see Portsmouth hockey at the Abbey until after the New Year.  Don’t miss it – come out and root for the Patriots,

See you at the rink
