Portsmouth defeated the South Kingstown Rebels 7-1 Wednesday evening at the University of Rhode Island’s Boss Arena.
Luke Brule led all Patriots scorers with two goals and three assists. Shane Temple scored two goals, including the game winner, while Chase Pascoe and Hadrian Doughtry each had a goal and an assist. Patrick Chouinard capped the goal scoring for Portsmouth with his first high school goal. Ben West and Connor Rogers each finished with two assists and Rafe Dionne was credited with one assist.
The Patriots defense held the Rebels to just 13 shots in the game, Johnny Cabral in goal for Portsmouth made 12 saves to earn his fourth win of the season.
Portsmouth will head back to Boss Arena again on Saturday for a game with the Narraganset - Chariho Co-op Gulls. The puck is scheduled to drop at 8:15 PM. Head over to URI and root for the Patriots.
