The severely undermanned Portsmouth JV squad traveled up to Mount Saint Charles on Friday night. The Patriots only had 11 skaters and put up a good battle early on..
The game was tied at 1 after the first period. Connor Soccio scored for Portsmouth with assists going to Cam Little and Lachlan Bronson.
Early in the 2nd period Portsmouth took the lead on a goal by Cam Little. Noah Smith and Bronson had assists.
Later in the period Little set up Soccio again for his 2nd of the night, but the Mounties had a 4-goal lead by that point.
Bronson cut the deficit to 3 goals late in the 2nd period with assists going to Little and Smith.
Mount added a few more in the 3rd to skate away with a 9-4 win.
Portsmouth is back in action Tuesday at Portsmouth Abbey for a game against Diman/Durfee regional at Noon
