BCC Knocks off Danville in Double Header

The BCC Dolphins took down Danville Community College 10-0 on Saturday at BCC after slamming Danville Community College with six runs in the second inning.
The Dolphins' Michael Deese was perfect at the dish, going 1-1. He singled in the second inning. BCC pitcher Zach Andrews kept Danville Community College off the scoreboard for all five innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out two. The Dolphins never trailed after scoring three runs in the first on two singles.
A five-run explosion in the sixth inning hoisted the BCC Dolphins to a 9-1 win in seven innings over Danville Community College at BCC in the second game of the double header on Saturday.
Jonathan Corbett racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Dolphins. He singled in the first, second, and sixth innings. Kyle Shields looked sharp on the mound. Shields gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five during his 3 1/3 innings of work.
The Dolphins never trailed after scoring three runs in the first on an error, a groundout by Ryan Brendle which closed out the inning. The Dolphins answered Danville Community College's top inning with one run of its own in the second. BCC Dolphins scored on an RBI single by Corbett.
