Entering the weekend, the Nation's 10th ranked Dolphins needed three wins to tie the school record for most wins by a class. After game three Sunday they had done just that. The Dolphins swept the last home series with New River CC to improve to 33-10 on the season, and give the sophomores a total of 65 wins in their career in teal.
The weekend treated the BCC squad well as they won each of the three contests by the score of 10-0. The Fin pitching staff saw all three starters tossing 1-hitters, starting with Matt Lowry, then Kyle Shields, and finishing Sunday by Jimmy Boyd. The three guys were giving more than enough insurance in the run column by the offensive attack. The FIns compiled 31 hits in 15 innings (three 5-inning contests) and were led by Alex Sasser's 3 for 3 performance in game one, Tony Sanchez and Ryan Maksim's two hits apiece in game two, and Hunter Allen's 1 for 2 with a triple and 2 RBI's in game three.
The Dolphins will finish the regular season this coming weekend when they travel to play a three-game set with Wake Tech.
