OP came out ready to give the #2 seed a game when Noboru Kobashigawa scored from the opening face off..  PV responded with a goal that trickled in to tie the game.  The Eagles again took the lead when Grant Consoletti intercepted a pass to the goalie and found the back of the net to make it 2-1.  PV scored 8 goals to finish the 1st quarter to take a convincing 9-2 lead.  The Eagles hung in the second quarter and played PV even to go into halftime down 11-4.  Unfortunately, OP was never able to get any offense going in the 2nd half and suffered their first loss 20-4 to end a great season.  PV's aggressive defense, lightning quick midfielders and dominating play at the face off X exposed the Eagles weaknesses.  The future is bright for OP as 3 freshman and 2 sophomores were on the field for the opening whistle and another 3 freshman and 3 sophomores saw significant action during the game.

The other North Divsion semi-final game featured another Bay League and 101 Coast League matchup between Bay League champion, Mira Costa, and 101 Coast runner-up, Agoura.  Agoura suffered a similiar fate losing to Mira Costa 19-7.  This sets up a rubber match between Bay League rivals PV and Mira Costa for the North Divsion title with each winning a game during the regular season.
