Three Dolphins Earn Athletes of Distinction Academic Awards

Three BCC baseball players have earned Academic Student-Athlete Awards, according to the NJCAA. Freshman Jered (Trey) Brown, from Shallotte, North Carolina, earned the award for Superior Academic Achievement. Freshman Carl Buddin, from Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, and Sophomore James (Anthony) Colantino, from Cary, North Carolina, earned Exemplary Academic Achievement.

To be eligible for an Academic Student Athlete Award, the student athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of a 3.6 or higher for Exemplary Academic Achievement, or a cumulative grade point average of a 3.8 or higher for Superior Academic Achievement.
