SAN JOSE --  The Dynasty started the season off on a high note with a 9-0 victory over the Campbell Royals. Kyle Hatzenbuhler went 6 shutout innings and only allowed one hit. Kyle and Mike Paresa combined for the shutout while only allowing 2 hits and striking out 10 Royals. It was a balanced offensive attack from Santa Clara. Johnny Dominguez and Eugene Thompson each collected 3 hits. In his first game with the Dynasty, Dominguez went 3-5 with a double and 3 RBI.
